After activating the plugin, a new row action Edit (Markdown) will be added in the post/ page table row actions. 
For editing any page/ post with the markdown editor, you need to click the Edit (Markdown) button in the post/ page row actions. 
Then you will redirect to the Markdown editor and can start editing with the markdown syntax. 
You can find the Markdown editor shortcuts by clicking the keyboard icon at the right-bottom side of the editor.
You can see a Dark mode switch added to the admin bar menu. 
You can toggle between the dark and light mode by using that switch any time.

Markdown Editor uses <a href="https://appsero.com" rel="nofollow ugc">Appsero</a> SDK to collect some telemetry data upon user’s confirmation. This helps us to troubleshoot problems faster & make product improvements.
Appsero SDK does not gather any data by default. The SDK only starts gathering basic telemetry data when a user allows it via the admin notice. We collect the data to ensure a great user experience for all our users.
Integrating Appsero SDK DOES NOT IMMEDIATELY start gathering data, without confirmation from users in any case.

Markdown Editor (Formerly Dark Mode)

Another case of someone buying an abandoned plugin to take advantage of its large userbase and completely repurposing it for a quick and easy profit. Stay away!

Another hijacked plugin

The plugin is advertised on wp.org as having a markdown editor -in fact, the entire description on wp.org talks about that specific feature-, but that's only available as a paid feature. 

Seriously, I regret not reading the other reviews that said as much but this plugin is obnoxious. 

Bait and Switch

Not the same plugin as in screenshoots.


I needed a plugin that supports Markdown in the editor. This seems to have a number of different features, but the only one that I can't use without upgrading is the title Markdown feature. Bait and switch. 


Doesn't have the title feature


I believe this plugin is in violation of the WordPress terms. You can't access its main feature "markdown editor" without paying. The free version only has a dark mode/light mode toggle.


Plugin doesn't deliver markdown


I would have to agree with the other reviews/comments. No markdown.
