<h4>Set a featured image for post by a category</h4>
<ul>
<li>Bulk set the featured image of all the posts, when setting the category featured image.</li>
<li>If there are multiple categories, the parent category featured image takes precedence.</li>
<li>Can apply a category featured image to the post featured image, when posting.</li>
<li>Supports Custom Post Types.</li>

<h4>Warning</h4>
<ul>
<li>Pressing the “Update” button after “Add New Image” or “Replace Image” under “Edit Category” will change the featured image for all posts in that category.</li>
<li>Even if you do not set an image, pressing the “Update” button under “Edit Category” will remove the featured image for all posts in that category.</li>
<li>If you do not need this feature, do not use this plugin !</li>

<h3>Usage</h3>
<p>Once the plugin is installed you can control settings in the following ways:</p>
<ul>
<li>Programmatically by using <code>featured_image_extended_settings</code> filter (see below).</li>
<li>Using the <em>Settings->Featured Image Extended</em> administration screen.</li>
</ul>
<p>If your theme uses a different call other than <code>the_post_thumbnail()</code>/<code>get_the_post_thumbnail()</code> in order to get the featured image, this plugin might not work.<br />
So, in order to get extended featured image settings and apply to your pages, you should use <code>featured_image_extended()</code> (see below).</p>

<p>It returns an array containing featured image extended information of <code>$post_id</code> post (or current post if you don’t supply an argument) like following:</p>
