<h3>SMTP Mailer Settings</h3>
<ul>
<li>SMTP Host: Your outgoing mail server (e.g. smtp.gmail.com).</li>

<li>SMTP Username: The username to connect to your SMTP server.</li>

<li>Type of Encryption: The encryption to be used when sending an email (TLS/SSL/No Encryption. TLS is recommended).</li>

<ul>
<li>To: Email address of the recipient.</li>

<ul>
<li>Contact Form 7</li>
<li>Jetpack Contact Form</li>
<li>Visual Form Builder</li>
<li>Fast Secure Contact Form</li>

SMTP Mailer

So i have tried configuring it two ways - with gmail and smtp from my own hosting, it doesn't work in both cases.

With gmail it hangs on password authentication according to log - the password IS correct, less secure apps is checked and critical login is confirmed.

With my own smtp credentials - it supposedly sending test message, but it simply doesn't comply with CF7, there's an error while sending form and that's it.

It is lightweight, which i really like but what of it if plugin doesn't work even on native settings?

To dev:
- if you fix it, then i will change my review. Latest WP, only your plugin and CF7, PHP 7.3 and default Wordpress theme.

It simply doesn't work with CF7

A bloat-free plugin that just sends SMTP emails as advertised. Great job Developers.

Minimalistic, Does the job

This is THE plugin you need to send e-mails. Forget about WPForms, Easy WP SMTP (after their upgrade it got super-bloated) or others. You just need to send e-mails, and this is the plugin to do it. Easy and lightweight.

The #1 SMTP plugin today

In the world of WP plugins, it's easy to get bogged down by bloated, feature-rich options. This plugin is a refreshing departure from that trend. It's lean, mean, and focused on doing one thing exceptionally well: sending emails.

Best SMTP plugin

Configure a SMTP server to send email from your WordPress site. Configure the wp_mail() function to use SMTP instead of the PHP mail() function.
