<h4>Developer focus</h4>
<p>Please note that <strong>Cookie Notice & Consent</strong> is generally geared towards developers and technically savvy site administrators. Although it does provide pre-made themes, the plugin does not provide separate options for individual design aspects, and does not plan to provide those in the future. It is up to the developer/administrator to add further styling to match the theme using CSS.</p>
<p>This plugin does not add any branding (neither visually nor textually), top-level admin menu items or user-facing indicators. It aims to be usable in client projects by blending in with WordPress core appearance, naming and settings. Settings screens are visible to administrator level users only.</p>

<li>Shortcode [cookie_consent_status]: Outputs a formatted string indicating the users consent choice</li>
<li>Function <code>is_cookie_consent_set()</code>: Returns whether the consent has been set by the user</li>
<li>Function <code>is_cookie_category_accepted( $category )</code>: Returns whether the given cookie category has been accepted by the user (valid values: essential, functional, marketing)</li>

<p>This plugin provides opt-out functionality for Google Analytics by setting a cookie that prevents analytics.js or gtag.js from collecting data. The new GDPR rules require an opt-out.</p>
<p>Works perfectly with the [Google Analytics by MonsterInsights Plugin] (https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/ “Google Analytics by MonsterInsights Plugin”). However, the plugin is not required to configure the opt-out feature. Just enter your UA or GA code manually. And that’s it!</p>
<p>The free and pro versions have now been merged. So now you can also activate a banner! Have fun with it!</p>

Easy to use but not helpful for multi lingual pages yet. Will you change that and add input fields for every language?

OK but not multilingual

Great and helpful plugin! Only after installing version 2.1.2, all pages, front end and back end, show a warning that a higher PHP version is required (my site runs on an older PHP version), so I could not even uninstall this plugin, had to delete it through FTP (and downgrade to an older version from backup).
