The “Custom Strava Integration” is a powerful plugin that makes integrating strava activities easy and simple. It gives you the opportunity to create output exactly the way you like it.
<h4>The Plugin</h4>
Basically what this plugin does is adding the shortcode [strava id=”[activity id]”] to your post, receiving data via Strava API v3 and filling the preconfigured template with this information.
<h4>Configuration</h4>
You want full control of the shortcode’s output ? No Problem. You can specify a template at the settings page and define the positions of strava information. Therefore ‘Custom Strava Integration’ provides these placeholders:

<li>[distance] – Overall distance of the activity</li>
<li>[description] – Description of the activity </li>
<li>[duration] – Duration of the activity</li>
<li>[elevation] – Overall elevation of the activity</li>
<li>[location] – Location of the activity </li>
<li>[name] – Name of the activity </li>
<li>[speed] – Depending on type (ride or run) – either running pace or riding speed </li>
<li>[time] – Local start time of the activity</li>
<li>[type] – Type of the activity (run – ride – swim)</li>
</ul>
You can not only customize the style by using CSS features, moreover you have full control over the html output.
Moreover you can choose the type of display unit (mi/ft or km/m) you want to use.
<h4>Difference to other solutaions</h4>
We know that strava also does offer their own embedded widget, but this plugin:

<li>does not use iframes (if you want to)</li>
<li>allows you to fully customize the content</li>
<li>can display more information than the widget</li>

Import Strava activities to your website. Get notified immediately after an Strava activity is recorded, using webhooks.

You need to setup a Strava API Application: <a href="https://www.strava.com/settings/api" rel="nofollow ugc">https://www.strava.com/settings/api</a>
Add this shortcode: [strava_nmr] to a user facing page or post.
The address of that page/post must be used on setting: Redirect URI (see below)
Configure NMR Strava activities plugin on your admin interface: Settings: Strava NMR
<ul>
<li>Strava client id – number from Strava API Application</li>
<li>Strava client secret – secret from Strava API Application</li>
<li>Redirect URI – Address of a page/post on your website where the shortcode: [strava_nmr] is used.</li>
<li>Webhook callback url – it’s determined automatically, should be: <a href="https://your-website.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=nmr-strava-callback&" rel="nofollow ugc">https://your-website.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=nmr-strava-callback&</a> 
Notice the ampersand: & at the end – it should be there.</li>
<li>Verify token – a string used in the webhook subscription process</li>
</ul>
Press Activate Strava Webhook
On success, you’ll see the message on Plugin status:

it means webhook subscription worked.
Strava will push activity data for all Strava users that connected their account on your website with their Strava account. 
Received activities are stored locally on your wordpress database, and an event with strava activity data is raised.

where <code>$activity_data</code> is an array.
A Theme or another Plugin might listen to this action and perform additional actions.
This plugin reacts to new, changed or deleted activities.
Determine what activites are imported by interacting with <code>nmr_strava_save_activity</code> filter
