<p>Email Auth allows you to enable email authentication/validation for your WordPress site. Configure the DKIM selector, SPF, DMARC, bounce address, from address, and reply-to address of emails sent by WordPress through the default PHPMailer.</p>
<p>Configuring these email settings allows you to prevent attackers from spoofing emails from your domain and helps keep your emails out of the spam folder.</p>
<h4>DKIM Selector</h4>
<p>Create, upload, download, and delete private and public keys for use with DKIM with an intuitive interface. Configure emails to use a DKIM selector and configure which domain should be used with DKIM.</p>
<h4>SPF</h4>
<p>Create a new SPF record for your envelope domain, validate an existing record, or view recommendations for how to improve your SPF configuration.</p>
<h4>DMARC</h4>
<p>Validate your DMARC DNS record settings and view comments about your current configuration.</p>
<h4>Bounce Address</h4>
<p>Set your bounce address to ensure emails are being sent from the right domain to avoid having your emails rejected or marked as spam.</p>
<h4>From Address and Reply-To Address</h4>
<p>Set the address and name emails are sent from along with the address replies should be sent to.</p>
<h3>External Services</h3>
<p>This plugin connects to an online list from <a href="https://publicsuffix.org/" rel="nofollow ugc">publicsuffix.org</a> to determine which organizational domain should be searched when obtaining DMARC DNS records. For example, if the domain wordpress.brandonfowler.me does not have a DMARC record, then brandonfowler.me will be checked for a DMARC record. No user information is sent when requesting the list and its usage is subject to the <a href="https://mozilla.org/MPL/2.0/" rel="nofollow ugc">Mozilla Public License Version 2.0</a>.</p>

<h3>Why are my logged emails still not delivered to the inbox?</h3>
<p>There are a lot of steps that emails have to make in order to be delivered to the recipient’s inbox.</p>
<p>When your WordPress site sends an email, there’s no guarantee it will be delivered.</p>
<p>This is what the email’s journey looks like:</p>
<ol>
<li>WordPress creates an email</li>
<li>WordPress passes the email to your website host and that email gets logged by our plugin</li>
<li>The host server takes the email and sends it (SMTP or Mail Transfer Agent)</li>
<li>Recipient server receives or blocks the email</li>
<li>If the email is accepted, the spam filter decides if it goes to the inbox or the spam folder</li>
<li>Recipients see the email and might open it.</li>
</ol>
<p>This plugin does not track delivery after step 2.</p>

Love this plugin!  Acts as a great debugging tool when outgoing SMTP is not working (seen often on VPS hosted instances without something like WP SMTP configured).

Sending email from WP can be problematic when the provider has a poor mailing service. This plugin is perfect to monitor the email activity, find possible problems, resend emails.



I'm using it simple and very complex sites. It's particularly useful to track emails sent by plugins (ecommerce, form managers and so on): most of the time, when there are problems, they can be solved looking at the log.



IMHO every site should have it.
