WordPress Course Manager – a WordPress Plugin to handle courses, lecturers and a schedule of dates when courses are held with one or more lecturer(s).
The plugin lets you manage:

The plugin has very basic styling with css, relying mostly on the current theme to style things like typography, margins, paddings and so on. The plugin style is made to be responsive (works well on both small and big screens) and tested with the default 2013 theme.
Javascript is required to be enabled in the browser for the schedule page to work
This plugin was developed since I couldn’t find any other plugin that provided this functionality, and I needed it for the home page of the Swedish educational company Utbildningsglädje (http://www.utbildningsgladje.nu).
What I needed was to manage lecturers that can hold different courses and create a schedule with courses to be held at different locations.

MasterStudy LMS WordPress Plugin – for Online Courses and Education

I've installed the free version and also the pro but have not yet had a chance to see how it works under pressure. Still, I think the features are well worth it because apart from developing your own courses within the system, you can import SCORM cartridges to get going. Also, the devs respond to inquiries quite promptly. Hopefully they will solve PHP 8 compatibility issues soon.

Looks good and has all the right features

Quite nice done course creator. But student account is terrible in terms of accessibility. Please put aside your mouse and try to accomplish anything just with the keyboard. Try the same with NVDA on. Lots of links without labels. Your main menu stays open when focus leaves it.Quizzes are better, but please start using <fieldset><legend> for questions instead of heading tag. There is also a question type for matching, which is mouse dependent only, with no keyboard accessibility whatsoever. You are losing about 15% of course attendees (15% less potential money) due to inaccessible UI.

Accessibility much better than other LMS, but still..


I had a few issues when I started using the plugin (mainly because I didn't RTM!) and Mike sorted these out very quickly. A great plugin that does what it says. We have already created several courses and we are developing a whole lot more. The lessons are super easy to put together, and the quizzes the same. I tried every course builder I could get my hands on before deciding to go with MasterStudy, and I'm very happy with my choice.
