Classic Image Button adds the classic image button option to the WYSIWYG editor in WordPress. The plugin adds a button to the top row of the text formatting options and can work in tandem with the built-in WordPress image buttons. This plugin also includes an option to disable inline styles so your image styling in the event you want your image styling to be compatible with the widest range of feed readers.

Disabling inline styles reverts the image properties vspace, hspace, border and align as image attributes instead of the inline .

The Classic Image Button is added to both the main post and page visual editors and the smaller Press This editor.

1. Copy the entire directory from the downloaded zip file into the /wp-content/plugins/ folder.
2. Activate the “Classic Image Button” plugin in the Plugin Management page.
3. Configure Classic Image Button by going to the Settings > Classic Image Button page.

Why disable inline styles?

Sometimes feed readers will strip away the style=”” tag from your blog posts causing your images to look funny in RSS feeds. By disabling the inline styles, your border, align, vspace and hspace image attributes will be added as separate image attributes, which are more likely to be recongized by most feed readers.
