Obviously not. This plugin is just replacing the functionality of How Media is Loading. The website performace will be same as it is.

What if I want the Load More button back?

You can certainly do that.
Headover to Settings > Media Infinite Scroll. You will get an option to Enable / Disable the Infinite scroll functionality.
Select Disable for getting Load More button.
Select Enable for getting Infinite Scroll.
