This plugin will help you to upload and view webp and svg format image in WordPress media library. Once activated, you can simply upload SVG and webp images to your media library like any other file. It won’t conflict with any theme or plugin. It also provide options so that you can enable webp or svg or both formats for your site. WebP & SVG Support plugin is also the fastest and lightest weight plugin anyone could offer.

Installation

  1. Upload the plugin files to the /wp-content/plugins/plugin-name directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly.
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress
  3. All Settings can be found in Admin sidebar -> Settings -> WebP & SVG Support

Will this plugin work automatically as soon as we activate?

Yes. It will work automatically once you install and active this plugin. You will get options to enable / disable webp and svg format. But both of them are enabled by default.

SVG images are uploaded to media but not showing on the front-end / customizer. What should I do?

In the later versions of wordpress, SVG files aren’t shown by default. To allow SVG to work in the customizer, page-builder and front-end, you must add width and height of the uploaded SVG file through CSS.
