WordPress Countdown Timer

This plugin adds a countdown timer to your webpage with the use of a shortcode.

In Settings > WP Countdown Timer, set the datetime you want to count down towards and save.

Use the shortcode [countdown] on any page to display the countdown timer.

This section describes how to install the plugin and get it working.

Using The WordPress Dashboard

1. Navigate to the ‘Add New’ in the plugins dashboard
2. Search for ‘WordPress Countdown Timer’
3. Click ‘Install Now’
4. Activate the plugin on the Plugin dashboard
5. Under Settings > WP Countdown Timer, update your preferred settings

Uploading in WordPress Dashboard

1. Navigate to the ‘Add New’ in the plugins dashboard
2. Navigate to the ‘Upload’ area
3. Select wordpress-countdown-timer.zip from your computer
4. Click ‘Install Now’
5. Activate the plugin in the Plugin dashboard
6. Under Settings > WP Countdown Timer, update your preferred settings

Using FTP

1. Download wordpress-countdown-timer.zip
2. Extract the wordpress-countdown-timer directory to your computer
3. Upload the wordpress-countdown-timer directory to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
4. Activate the plugin in the Plugin dashboard
5. Under Settings > WP Countdown Timer, update your preferred settings

Can I choose what units of time are displayed?

For now, all timers will display in the format [years, months, days, hours, minutes, seconds]. Future updates will include customization options.

   Under Settings > WP Countdown Timer, you can set the date time that you would like to count down to.
